Chipotle, Taco Bell, and Wendy's have all rolled out new fast-food menu items. Here's a closer look!

Wendy’s: French Toast Sticks

The cherry (or syrup?) on top of Wendy's breakfast menu, which we already adore, is this latest addition! The French Toast Sticks come with a syrup dip and have a delightful custardy middle with a golden-brown exterior. If you can't wait until August 15 to get them, you can always create your own French Toast Sticks at home.

Sonic: Pickle Juice Slush

Although it might sound strange, Sonic's Pickle Juice Slush is a well-liked customer favourite. Starting on August 8, you may purchase this savoury and sweet frozen delicacy to stave off the summer heat. You better act quickly because it's a limited-edition item.

McDonald’s: Breakfast Bagel Sandwich

This popular breakfast item isn't technically new, but it's making a comeback at McD's! The Steak, Egg & Cheese, Bacon, Egg & Cheese, Sausage, and Egg & Cheese Bagel are all back on the menu, albeit it appears that this is a limited-time offering that is only accessible in a small number of states at this moment.

Sonic: Pickle Fries

Pickles are the flavour of the season, and Sonic has delivered. Their pickle fries are made up of thin pickle spears that have been delicately breaded and fried to a beautiful crisp. Our favourite side dish of the year would undoubtedly be this when paired with a tub of ranch dressing. Don't forget to purchase these meals with a pickle flavour as well.

Wendy’s: Strawberry Frosty

Long available in Canada and at one Wendy's in Ohio, the Strawberry Frosty is now being made accessible across the country for the first time. The new product combines Wendy's famous vanilla Frosty with a special strawberry puree. Talk about the ideal summertime dessert!

Shake Shack: Bourbon Bacon Cheddar Burger

It's time to treat yourself to a bourbon-infused burger if you haven't already. The most recent innovation from Shake Shack has soft potato buns, 100% Angus beef, white cheddar cheese, crispy shallots, and of course a bourbon bacon jam produced with Maker's Mark Bourbon.

Taco Even while the meal isn't quite new, Taco Bell has discovered a winning formula by bringing back our old favourites. The Nacho Fries have a straightforward idea—spice-dusted fries combined with ooey nacho cheese—but the Bell manages to make them unbelievably delicious. In March and April, Nacho Fries were back on the menu, and we anticipate them to do the same later in 2022.

McDonald’s: Chocolatey Pretzel McFlurry

Nothing beats a McFlurry in the summer, and fortunately for us, McD's has just released a brand-new flavour. The Chocolatey Pretzel McFlurry combines chocolate-covered pretzel pieces with caramel topping and creamy vanilla soft serve for the ideal balance of sweet and salty.

For the first time in 29 years, Chipotle is introducing a new chicken choice. That alone makes it worthwhile to try, but if that's not enough to persuade you, the flavour of the grilled chicken ought to. It uses dark flesh chicken that has been spiced with lime, guajillo, and garlic to great acclaim.

Wendy’s: Frosty Sundae

McDonald’s: Fan-Inspired Hacks

On January 31, The Golden Arches added four "new" items to the menu! These delectables, such as the Hash Brown McMuffin (Hash Brown + Sausage McMuffin with Egg), Crunchy Double (Chicken McNuggets + Double Cheeseburger), The Land, Air, and Sea (McChicken + Big Mac + Filet-O-Fish), and Surf + Turf (Double Cheeseburger + Filet-O-Fish), were brought to us by McD's using some secret menu hacks.

The problem? They will serve you the parts separately; you must put the food together by hand.

Dairy Queen: Mint Brownie Blizzard

Although the Mint Oreo Blizzard was discontinued, the Mint Brownie Blizzard was, dare we say it, even better. This was the ideal dessert for March because it contained bits of soft, fudgy chocolate brownie that were all covered with DQ's minty soft serve.

Sonic: Bacon on Bacon Quarter Pound Double Cheeseburger

Both the name and the burger are rather long. Two beef patties, two slices of American cheese, diced onions, crinkle-cut pickles, mayo, a sharp smoke sauce, and of course, four complete slices of crispy, crunchy bacon are all included. We'd like to see this fast food menu item return. It first appeared on the menu in February and was only available until May.
